A reminder that during January through March 31, The GIANT Company invites customers to join in supporting the Feeding School Kids campaign by rounding up at the register. The GIANT Company will directly support customers’ generosity by matching all donations up to $100,000. Lower Moreland Township School District will again be included as a beneficiary of this campaign.

A Neurodiverse Resource Fair is being held at The Vanguard School in Malvern on February 28 from 1-4 pm.

The LMHS Students Against Melanoma Club welcomed Assistant Superintendent Dr. Julie Henrich on January 12th for a guest speaking event. She shared her valuable insight on her own experiences with skin cancer and the importance of prevention and skin checks. This was an important session to reiterate these essential messages to our students about sun safety.
Lower Moreland Township School District is closed on Monday, January 19 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Acts of service are planned in the schools to honor Dr. King's legacy.

The Ukrainian Students Association Club of Lower Moreland High School packaged donations on Friday, December 12, that they collected for infants in Ukraine. These donations of baby books, bottles, pacifiers, and clothing were collected as part of their "Bonnets for Babies of the War Campaign." The donations have been shipped to Lviv, Ukraine. 6ABC filmed a segment for Action News, which can be seen at https://youtu.be/y9Gfos7vML4?feature=shared.

LMTSD will operate on a two-hour delay schedule on Monday, December 15. The district’s before- and after-school Kinderlinks program and nonpublic school transportation services will also follow this schedule.

At the December 2 Meeting of the Board of School Directors, Ms. Amanda Blanton was selected as Board President, and Dr. John Butler was selected to continue to serve as Vice President.
Four newly-elected School Board members were also sworn in: Mr. Derek Austin, Ms. Patricia Balitzky, Dr. David Litt, and Mr. Erskine Payton.
