Mrs. Denise Meyers has been chosen by the Montgomery County Science Teachers Association for the 2025-2026 Exemplary Teacher Award, Middle School Division. This award honors STEM teachers across the county for their contributions to STEM education in the lives of their students, schools, and communities. Mrs. Meyers' hard work and dedication each year allows over 70 students from the District to participate in local science fairs. Participation offers college scholarships, monetary awards, and gives the students the chance to engage in real project research.
At the June 2 meeting of the Board of School Directors, the district's 2026 retirees were recognized: Julie Antoni (2nd Grade Teacher, LMTEA President), Susan Grugan (4th Grade Teacher), and Mary Huckin (Reading Specialist, not pictured).

Big news! 🧜♀️ Our production of The Little Mermaid earned Independence Award nominations for Adrienne Nicastro (Lead Actress & Female Vocalist) and our amazing Makeup Team (Ria Koemets, Katelyn Haggerty, and Mya Park)! Out of 39 schools, we ranked in the Top 5 for these categories. We’re headed to the awards ceremony at Miller Theater on May 19th! 🏆
