Program Policies

  Calendar Kinderlinks follows the district calendar. School closings for holidays, spring break, etc. include Kinderlinks. On scheduled in-service half-days, Kinderlinks will be open until 6 pm.   

Inclement Weather In the event of an early dismissal due to the weather, parents will be notified by phone regarding Kinderlinks pick up time. In the event of a school closing, Kinderlinks will be closed. A two hour delayed school opening will result in Kinderlinks also opening two hours late- the program will open at 8:30AM.            

Student Pick-ups In the event a student is being picked up by someone other than a parent, please notify Kinderlinks by phone, or include a note in your child's school bag. Please be aware that any notification of a pick-up change received by a phone message will result in a return call to the parent to verify the information. Anyone other than a parent picking up a student will be asked to provide I.D. If a student will not be attending Kinderlinks, please be sure to call and inform the Kinderlinks staff. Please leave a message on the Kinderlinks voicemail; messages are checked throughout the day.  

Late Pick-ups Parents will be charged $15.00 every 15 minutes for late pick-ups. After one allowed lateness parents will be charged. The program closes at 6 pm. Repeated late pick-ups may result in a removal from the program.    

Attendance
Children are required to attend the Kinderlinks program on a regular basis.  This is needed to conform with Pa Department of Public Welfare policies for staff to student ratios.  If your child does not attend the program for more than one month, a formal withdrawal from the program may be necessary.  Please contact the Kinderlinks Director immediately.   If your child is enrolled in just the AM or PM program, parents have the option to bring their student to the opposite program (PM or AM, respectively) for up to three days per month for a daily fee of $15/child.    

Not Attending Kinderlinks Parents must notify Kinderlinks if a student is going home on the bus or being picked up at dismissal. Notification can be made by phone or e-mail. The e-mail address is kalliston@lmtsd.org.
