ELD Programming in Lower Moreland Township School District
Pine Road Elementary School--Grades K-5
Elementary English Learners receive language support through a push-in and pull-out instructional model with a certified ELD certified teacher, additional support during the WIN (What I Need) period, and/or through consultation between the general education teachers and the ELD teachers.
Student progress is monitored frequently to ensure that the PA English Language Development Standards are being met. Assessments include formative and summative classroom-based assessments, district benchmarks, curriculum-based assessments, and the annual state assessment for ELLs, the WIDA ACCESS 2.0.
Murray Avenue School--Grades 6-8

Lower Moreland High School--Grades 9-12
High School English Learners receive language support through targeted programs that support a student’s specific level of language need. These programs may include a daily supplemental ELD period taught by a certified ELD teacher, push-in support in content area classes, intermittent support during a Directed Study period, and/or additional support through consultation between the general education teachers and the ELD teacher.
