    August 2019

Hello Kindergarten Families and Friends! My name is Erin Fahy and I will be teaching Kindergarten for the 2019-2020 school year.  I am extremely excited about being part of your child’s education. The privilege to teach your child is one that I take very seriously. I would like to take some time to introduce myself to you, and provide you with some information about me professionally and personally.

I have been working at Pine Road Elementary School since February 2010. In that time, I have provided reading support for students in grades K-3 and have taught Kindergarten, First and Second grade.  By working with the various grade levels, I have come to know what the educational expectations are for students in each grade level. I know what a Pine Road Kindergartener needs to know, and how to teach them the skills they need as they continue through the year.

My mission in being your child’s teacher is to provide a nurturing, safe, and personal learning environment for each student to be successful in my classroom. I want each student to feel welcomed, respected, appreciated, and secure. I know if we work together as a team, we will be very successful in your child's Kindergarten year. Our classroom will foster an atmosphere of warmth, support and genuine care.

Prior to my time at Pine Road, I worked at schools in the Council Rock School District, The School District of Philadelphia, and at a private school in Tampa, Florida. My Undergraduate Degree is from Susquehanna University, where I majored in Business Administration/Finance. After realizing that the business world was not for me, I followed my childhood dream of becoming a teacher and enrolled at Holy Family University. I obtained a Master’s degree in Elementary Education and added my Special Education Certification soon after. I have also completed coursework for my ESL Program Specialist Certification.

My husband, Patrick and I were married October 2011. Patrick and I love to read, exercise, cook, watch movies, go out to eat, work on our home, and travel. In the summer we spend a great deal of time in Cape May, where my parents live.  We have two children, Fiona and Mason. Fiona will be fiveyears old on October 1st. Mason will be two in December.

Working together as a team, I know we can motivate, encourage, and enhance your child’s learning experience. I look forward to meeting and working with you. Please feel free to contact me at efahy@lmtsd.org or call the school at (215) 938-0290 with any questions/concerns you have about our classroom or events going on in it.

Thank you for your time, patience, involvement, and support.
