Concert Choir rehearses
during the school day 5 days per week, as well as evening rehearsals, as well
as the winter and spring concerts. Members also compete in a national
competition yearly, which is a 5 day trip. Members are also eligible for
district chorus, which is an auditioned group that auditions on a Saturday,
and if selected rehearses 3 days for concert. Region chorus and State chorus
are also options.
Meeting Dates/Times:
M-F for a full year, and
evening rehearsals.
Membership Criteria:
Grades 9-12, students
must be participate in school, as well as evening rehearsals and concerts.
Students are required to learn to read music and sing and blend with their
group. Students must put forth a sincere effort in chorus class, and based on
behavior, students may be removed from possible trips, competitions, or the
chorus itself.

Concert Choir has had the
privilege of working with renowned conductors and specialists. They have won
a superior, 1st place award at VA Beach National Competition, as
well as 2 Excellent awards in Myrtle Beach National Competition and
Festival Disney Competition. We have had several students make District and
Regional Chorus as well.

Concert choir will be
traveling to Festival Disney once again this year to compete in a national
competition.
