Susan M. Casagrand has held the position of Director of Technology for the Lower Moreland Township School District since September 2008.
Mrs. Casagrand began her 25-year career in education as a second grade teacher at Thomas Fitzwater Elementary in the Upper Dublin School District and left education for a ten-year career working as a Contract Manager for the Naval Air Development Center. After returning to teaching in 1990, Mrs. Casagrand vowed to make technology a highly successful teaching and learning tool. She worked as an Instructional Technology Specialist and later was named the Director of Educational Technology. Mrs. Casagrand came to Lower Moreland Township School District after serving as the Director of Educational Technology at Hatboro-Horsham School District for almost ten years.
Over the last few years the district has been involved in the Classrooms for the Future Grant and was awarded 1st place in the small district category for being a technologically advanced school district by the Center of Digital Education.
